Unforgettable memories in Brilliant Class

Well, there are actually a lot of unforgettable memories here in Brilliant Class. Let’s start with the academic activity. The most interesting part here for me is the educational process itself. Even though it’s sounds a bit hard to finish all of the senior high materials, but actually it was really fun. All of the teachers could teach us in a better way than other teachers could do. They teach us well and we could understand the materials easily, even though their tests are really hard. Other best part in Brilliant Class for me is when we organizing the Brilliant Competition. This was held up on January 16 and 17. It was a tiring job to do, but we could learn how to organize an occasion, especially a competition. We were not only learned science in here, but we also maintain a social life in here. In conclusion, studying in Brilliant Class is fun.

Sir".. Even in our holiday we must do an assignment. hehe. Just kidding Sir.. ^^
Actually in here, Brilliant Class, there were many precious moments for me. Lots of competitions there were held since we're here and we also competed on some of them, such as biology competitions at IPB, UNJ, and UI. Really, when I competed the competition, I got a lot of things to learn. Even if I didn't win the competition, I got a lot of unforgettable things in my life. I could learn more in Biology, I could be happy when some of my friends became the winners in those competition, and the other else.
And something special from us, Brilliant Class students, we aren't the people that only doing great in academics but also at social and sports. We also doing some sports in the middle of our study like the swimming lesson we have done before. hehe. The lesson was very-very exciting. hehe.
That's all from me. And for students from 3rd grade for Junior High School,, don't forget to do the admision test.. hehe. It's fun to be here in Brilliant Class.. ^^

Huff, finally I motivated myself to do this “interesting homework.”

Well I will start my writing about my academic experience which is Math. Actually, I have enjoyed playing with numbers since elementary school, but I have known real Math since I studied in Brilliant Class. I studied Math with lecturer from Parahyangan University, Mr. Benny Yong. That’s why I knew real Math, such as how to make a complex graphs. ^^
Next I would like to share my social studies. I found an interesting thing about my social studies in Brilliant Class. I learned a little bit of Geography, Economy, and Sociology. In my junior high school, I must take almost all of my times to study social studies, but now my full time was taken by Science. Can you imagine it? It was a big change of my life. I was very happy to do that because my target is “focusing”.

For conclusion Brilliant Class is my new huge step in my future.

Memories in Brilliant Class...

Study, study and study...
Those are the three words I first heard from my friends in SMPK 4...

But...
I found out that everything that my friends said was (almost) wrong...

Not only science...
Sports and creativity...
One thing I can prove that they were wrong, my friends in Brilliant Class are not nerds!!!
They don't wear thick glasses...
Infact, they are handsome(for boys) and beautiful(for girls)...

As for the school subjects,
Two thumbs up!!
The timing for the subjects are strategic, and so are the teachers^^...
Playful, funny, and handsome (hahaha).
Oh yeah...
My favourite school subject...
MATH and CHEMISTRY
especially Organic Chemistry...
Reactions and other stuff
I love them...
hehehe...

Simple conclusion...
BC is F-U-N!!
Don't be afraid to study in Brilliant Class...
You won't regret it!!

Let me start from my unforgettable competition in Bogor… Well, at first I was pessimist because the participants of the competition were the winner of the National Science Olympiad and IMO. Then I prayed to God so when I did the test, I could do it as well as I could. As the time went by, I waited for the result of the competition. With a little miracle, I could go to the next round. I could not pass the final round, but it was a good competition and it built my confidence. The first think that went out of my mind when I arrived to the dormitory was it must be a bad and dirty place and I must be alone and mused in loneliness. But when I passed one week, I started to have different judgments, the place was very good and I could learn how to protect myself, to love others and to care to our friends.

Brilliant Class Forever..!

Hm, Brilliant Class..? From the time I heard these words, my minds flew everywhere, trying to imagine, what kind of people would I face.. First of all, I thought were they queer? Were they really genius? Did they study at all the time? However when I stepped into the new life in dormitory and new school. I knew the true fact about this. Until now, they are so kind and amusing. The class condition really support us to study well. Besides all of the teachers are professional to teach us. Then, the dormitory life has taught me a lot of things, how to love everybody, how to be independent and how to be the bull taken by the horns. Now, in here, we have a lot of sweet reminiscene that I never forget. It’s so fantastic to have friends like you all. I always love you all. GBU all... ^^

There're many subjects in my school. My favourite are physics and sports. I've loved physics since long time ago, exactly when I was in junior high school. I like

physics because it's not imaginative. It's real and easy to understand. Many of my friends in junior high school hates physics. From all of my friends, only two (one girl

and one boy) like physics. My favourite lessons are: Nowton's law of force, thermodynamic, electricity, and magnetic field. They're the best lessons in physics. My

"main teachers" are: GS, Ari, and David.

My favourite non science subject is Sports. It's my favourite because I can socialize with friends on that time. I love playing badminton, table tennis, and 5 on 5 soccer. There are many of my friends like table tennis and badminton, but not as much them who loves playing 5 on 5 soccer. I ususally play table tennis with my seniors. They are skilled in playing this game (Ricky is the most advance). There's also Hans, to be my partner in playing badminton. He's a great player. In sports subject. You don't need to focus too much on something, as long as you play sports. It's fun!

Now, let me tell you two of the unforgettable moment in here. The first one is the first time I got higher than standard mark in my math test. I was happy that time, knowing that I managed to do it, and also I was successfully made my docent, Benny Yong, happy. I knew that every time I got a bad mark, he always disappointed. Really happy that I can present him a good mark in my test.

The other one is when I experienced my first storm in gading serpong. On Sunday, March 15, 2009, I was in my bedroom doing my homework. Suddenly heavy rain fell and lately I was shocked, realizing that that’s not only a heavy rain, but a STORM. It was scary. But there was one thing I like in this storm. After the storm, I saw that people were working together to clean up the mess. Wow, it was fantastic.

homework.. homework.. homework..

On November 2008, all BCers and also all students from Super Class went to BMW factory and Dufan. First, we went to BMW factory. We saw the presentation about BMW and also how they make the cars. I don’t remember too much about BMW things, because it was boring. I wanted to go to Dufan as fast as I can. Hehehe..

Then we went to Dufan. There, we learnt about physics for games like “halilintar”, “kora-kora” and “ontang-anting”. After that, we had lunch and break time to change our uniform. Then we played “arung jeram”, “kicir-kicir”, “tornado”, and many else. Some of us bought the photo when we played “tornado”. I laughed when I saw a picture of a man face. I don’t know who is he, but his face was so funny, I couldn’t control myself to not laugh.

4 o’clock, time to go home. I still wanted to play indeed, but what can I do? We must go home. We walked to our bus and go home. On the bus, some of us were sleep. So, some of the waked students “forced” to take some picture of their funny sleeping face. Hehehe..

Ok, dear my beloved english teacher, thanks for wasting my holyday time.

Now, i want to tell you two of the unforgottable events in brilliant class.

the first time i joined math competition is at Pelangi Matemathics Competition in east of jakarta. The first time i looked at the question, i thought i would be the worst participant. But, when they announced the result, there were many of the participant who had worse score than me. So, i wasn't really dissapointed. At least i was the top 30 from the 130 participants in that competition.

The other experience was when i was going to duvan with other friends in brilliant class and Super class. First, it made me dissapointed because we had to do the exercices, but it was very exciting when i played Arung Jeram and the other games with my friends. My clothes were all wet, but it was a very exciting experience.

Wow, thanks for a good intro from Kevin. Believe me, no pain no gain (fitness). Ha ha ...

Thanks, too, for James' interesting concluding sentence. It reminds me of what Neil Armstrong said once he landed on the moon.

BTW, where are the comments from Billy, Evan, Ilona, Lilie, Patricia and Viciano? Mmm .... last minute guys, eh?

It was hard for me to pick the most unforgettable events in these 7 months, since most of my days here in Brilliant Class was unordinary. So I chose the second topic.

Maybe you knew it already, that I love Biology. Although during the classes I check the time about every half an hour – waiting for break time, waiting for the end of the lesson – I do love it. Well, it is the subject that I am fond of, not the class. I enjoy the projects and labs, though. For me, to learn bio means to know further about myself, about God’s creations, and as I learn it deeper, I worship God more and more. (Oh, Sir, you should watch the entire 7 series of ‘The Human Body’. You will understand what I mean.)

Favorite non-science subject? Hmm. I guess I don’t have any. But I do have fun during the singing classes; at least, we have got an awesome teacher with splendid voice, Ms. Eva, and I really like to hear how different melodies combined into harmony. But still, it’s not a favorite.

Okay, I finished the ass. Good night, sweet dream.

Hi sir Teguh. Here is my story..
My first Competition in Brilliant Class was Pesta Sains IPB. I joined “chemistry challenge” with my friends, Noah and Evan. When we joined it, our chemistry lesson was only until in the middle of 10 grade and we must study the 11 and 12 grade lesson. It was very frustrating. We only answered 52 question from 80. We were very hopeless and sure that we wouldn’t pass the first selection. And just like what we had predicted, we didn’t pass. We tried to tolerant to ourselves that we were only 10 grader, even though we are brilliant class student.
Another story is about study tour to BMW factory and Dunia Fantasi. First we went to BMW and looked inside the factory. And After that we went to “Dunia Fantasi”. We were given a paper that contains the physic questions, the questions still have relation to the game in Dufan such as Roller Coaster, Ontang-anting, and kora-kora. None of us care about the task, we just played and played. Some of the student still do the task diligently, but my Friends and I just copy their work to ours. Hehe..We were in Dufan until 4 o’ clock and went home. It was a very fun experience.

I choose the first topic about two unforgettable moments in Brilliant Class.

The most unforgettable and horrible competition I’ve ever joined here in Brilliant Class is Pesta Sains IPB in Bogor. I was absolutely not ambitious in joining that competition as we know that it was the first senior high school level competition I joined. So, I felt really okay when I didn’t pass the first selection. But that wasn’t the horrible point of Pesta Sains IPB. I felt so disappointed because of the very boring sections in IPB while waiting for the selection’s result and the locked doors that we couldn’t go outside the building.

Besides the competition, I also enjoyed the moment when we went to the sports club together and had a very nice swimming lesson there.
I have got a lot of unforgettable moments in Brilliant Class, but I know I will get more more unforgettable things here as soon as possible.

Thank you.
Natasia Yosua Yahya, XBC, 14.

Hello sir…
Your blog is very interesting…
Sir, I want to tell you about my experience in brilliant class...
When I heard about Brilliant Class, I didn’t interest...
But, finally I entered this class because I thought I can get better education in Brilliant Class...
The first thing that came out of my mind when I entered this class was the lesson must be very difficult because we almost spent our time only for science. I can stay until now in Brilliant Class because Jesus helps me and also because of my friends. We can study together so I don’t face the deadly lessons lonely...
I also felt happy in Brilliant Class because we stay in dormitory and we could spend our time together. Hehe... but not always. Sometimes I stay in dormitory alone or just with “dodo” because my friends went back to their home. Haha... But I still feel happy.
Another interesting thing in brilliant class is when one of us celebrated her/his birthday. We will celebrate it together. Hehe... we also give some presents for surprise for the person that celebrates his/her birthday.
Haha...

sorry 4 being late sir..
my unforgettable memories in this class are:
first, last year, me and another students together went to BMW factory to saw how to build a car and to learn about car. we went there by bus (with mr. Benny, Mr, Anton, Mrs. Dinna, etc.). after some researches, we went to dufan with students from SMAN 3 Super class. when i was there, i tried many rides there. i met new friends also from SMAN 3, because, i've never met them before. when we were in dufan, we had to do an assignment. that was physics assignment. we had to count acceleration of roller coaster, alibaba, etc. that was quite boring. but after the assignment, we were free to go anywhere inside dufan. after that, we all were very tired but were very happy for going trough this day.

then, another unforgettable memory is BC (Brilliant Competition).
many contestant blamed me about the schedule and another things. and, beside that blame things, we, brilliant students had to stay in the school for 3 days, b'coz our dorm is being used by the contestant from another country (not country maybe??).. but, i like that. i loved to sleep in the school (in the computer's room
--> boy's room), i loved to be together with the other friends, there were internet connection, etc. but, we still had to work till the morning.. because our job couldn't be finished by only 1 or 2 hours.
i only took a nap for 1-2 hours maybe
^^

that's my unforgettable memories sir. thanks..^^

What a faith you've got in your study in Brilliant Class, Lilie. Something everybody needs to care for. Always rely/depend on Him.

Thanks also to Natasya, Billy, Viciano, Patricia and Ilona's contributions.

P.S. For the other student, you know whom, I think I need to fax his folks/ use another way other than emailing. It's been his 3rd time of (very) late submission, eh? Sigh!
